Blueline’s mission is: To build people. To build relationships. To build communities. In this time of need, we seek to Be Uplifting & Influence a Lasting Difference (BUILD) in our community. In that spirit, we present our first BUILD campaign where, in May, we will support Mary’s Place.

Mary’s Place needs our help to keep their doors open, loving staff on the front lines, food on the table, and to open more space to keep families safe and healthy!

We are reaching out to clients and partners to help us meet a goal of raising $2,500 in May for Mary’s place. Blueline is getting this goal started by donating $500. In addition we will offer to pick up gently used items from people’s porches (COVID safe of course) and box them up for delivery to Mary’s Place (when they are accepting used donations again).

Get to know our new leaders

Deanna Martin, PE, has been instrumental in the success of our public works team and leads Blueline’s construction inspection services group. She started as a Project Engineer at Blueline 13 years ago and is a great mentor for our young engineers because of her strong leadership and field experience. Deanna enjoys working on public works projects because it allows her to have a lasting impact that leaves the world a better place for the next generation.

Brett Pudists, PE, plays an integral role on our fast-paced single-family residential team. He joined Blueline 6 years ago and has been specializing in private development projects. In addition to engineering, his experience includes roles in Construction Management and Land Development bringing a well-rounded perspective to each project. Brett is a natural storyteller and imparts his wisdom and experience from working on many different types of projects over the years while always keeping an eye on the big picture.

Chris Miller, PE, manages private development projects for Blueline in the civic, retail, multifamily, industrial, and healthcare market sectors. In doing so, he draws from his wide range of experience, both geographically and across multiple market sectors. Since joining the team 5 years ago, Chris has grown Blueline’s presence in commercial real estate through his substantial involvement in NAIOP and is now forging its expansion into the healthcare market.

Better Together

KIRKLAND, WA – July 3, 2018 – Blueline, a civil engineering, land use planning, and landscape architecture firm located in downtown Kirkland, WA, announces the merger with The LA Studio, a landscape architecture, land planning, and land entitlement firm in Tukwila, WA. Both organizations share a genuine passion for creative collaboration, for positively impacting local communities, and a sincere commitment to their client’s vision on every project. The LA Studio will operate under the Blueline brand as The LA Studio at Blueline for the foreseeable future.

The LA Studio provides consistent and quality design for a broad mix of projects types ranging from unique and detail-oriented residential design, to more complex and demanding hospitality, urban and mixed-use development, to large-scale community and master planning.

“Our partnership with The LA Studio complements our current disciplines and broadens our landscape architecture services to better serve the needs of our private and public-sector clients in the Puget Sound region,” said Brian Darrow, PE, President and CEO of Blueline. “This merger includes adding a new satellite office located at the Interstate 5/Interstate 405 interchange in Tukwila. This addition will allow Blueline to offer our fuller range of services to our private-sector clients and public-sector municipalities.”

As Blueline has expanded its services to include Landscape Architecture, it has not lost sight of its goal to be the best land development consultant available. With the additional services and talent brought forth from the partnership with The LA Studio, Blueline can create more outdoor spaces that are imaginative, functional, cost effective and sustainable.
