Board of Directors
Our Board of Directors
In 2019, Blueline formed a Board of Directors to guide strategic growth. The board consists of two members of Blueline’s leadership group, Brian Darrow, PE, President and CEO, and Principal Todd Oberg, PE; along with two external industry leaders, A-P Hurd, President of SkipStone, and Michael Crill, Managing Director of Atlas Accelerator. Blueline’s external directors will bring an objective, independent view to internal and external corporate initiatives.
“As Blueline continues to grow into unchartered territory, we wanted to have some outside counsel to help guide us along the way. We wanted people who have "been there, done that", so leadership makes educated decisions on the direction of the company.”
- Brian Darrow, President and CEO

A Washington native, Andy is originally from Mercer Island. Growing up, he developed a passion for photography and technical drawing. He began working odd jobs at his father’s civil engineering firm at a young age, learning to read plans and draft with AutoCAD after school. As time progressed, he began handling their permit submittals and attending pre-application meetings at various municipalities, while also photographing project sites for marketing purposes. The summer employment continued over the next several years, working as a chainman for their survey department. Andy attended Arizona University, originally studying architecture before changing midway through to Housing and Urban Development with a focus on Urban Planning. After college, he moved back to the Seattle area and began working for a local development consultant before he worked as a planner at a local civil engineering firm, and then spent nearly a decade as the Land Use Director at a local surveying company before joining Blueline. Andy has a deep-rooted passion for responsible development of the built environment. Not only is the work mentally challenging, but it is also rewarding. Knowing that your work as a landscape architect/designer could positively impact someone's life and the environment we all share is his favorite part. Gavin has a self-described obsessive level of attention to detail (both professionally & personally) and loves picking apart designs. Jon Koepfgen
Project Manager
When Jon arrived at Washington State for freshman classes, he was notified that his major, Forestry and Wildlife Management, had been canceled, and he would have to choose a new one. He joined the nearest orientation tour, which happened to be for the Civil Engineering program, and his career path was set. A native of Palo Alto, he worked on the new Google, Intuit and Facebook corporate campuses, as well as Salesforce Tower, and it was during this time that he gained an appreciation and passion for all of the work that goes into large commercial projects. As part of the commercial team at Blueline, Jon brings innovative designs and a wide knowledge base to projects ranging from multi-family residential, to retail/commercial and large industrial spaces, across King and Snohomish Counties.

Her worlds collided when she saw Bruce Springsteen at Key Arena.
