Avalon Alderwood Mall

Blueline provided civil engineering services on the construction of a new commercial-residential mixed-use development at the Alderwood Mall campus. Improvements include a below grade parking area, a cast-in-place stormwater detention vault, a modular underground stormwater detention system, and the realignment and removal of existing utilities serving the campus and outparcels. Blueline prepared the civil site plans, storm drainage technical information report (TIR) and utility improvements required to support the development. Blueline worked closely with the project team and the City of Lynnwood to develop a design approach that meets the project’s objectives while maintaining functionality of the mall campus that satisfies the City and utility provider requirements for new development. Blueline also assisted in value engineering efforts to reduce construction costs while maintaining the integrity of the design.
