Blueline teamed with Baylis Architects to design this mixed-use project for Continental Properties, LLC located on a prime intersection in the lower Queen Ann neighborhood of Seattle. The project includes live-work units on the ground level with individual porch entries accessed directly from the public street. The John Street alley entrance was improved to enhance the pedestrian connection from the sidewalk to the existing alley stairs using special concrete staining and texturing. A small private courtyard located at the rear of the building serves as a focal area and contains a series of terraced planters, including a bioretention planter, to accommodate the steeply sloping site. A roof deck provides amazing Puget Sound views to the west and includes separate seating areas, fire table, barbecue area, and dog run.
