Public Sector Marketing Coordinator

Job Description

The Public Sector Marketing Coordinator will be specifically focused on our public sector marketing pursuits. The position will work with the public sector engineering group and the marketing team in representing Blueline to the public, winning projects, and growing revenue. This position has the ability to grow and advance based on the successful execution of the responsibilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Research, identify, and track upcoming projects with municipalities and other agencies
  •  Attend and represent Blueline at industry events to interface with clients and potential teaming partners
  • Identify rosters that align with Blueline’s growth strategy and submit statements of qualifications (SOQs)
  • Partner with engineering project managers and the marketing team to establish specific marketing and business development strategies
  • Actively participate in monthly business development meetings
  • Coordinate, format, write, edit, and proofread proposals, SOQs, and related marketing materials
  •  Contribute to kickoff meetings with project teams to develop win theme and outline timeline and budget for SOQ pursuits
  • Coordinate with teaming partners to gather marketing materials for subconsultants
  • Contribute to interview preparations for project teams
  • Build and maintain up to date marketing library of project descriptions, photos, and resumes
  • Coordinate special projects and events

  • Strong organizational, writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a variety of internal and external people of various position levels
  • Understanding of public works civil engineering and the procurement process within agencies
  • Self-directed and detail-oriented collaborator with the ability to understand the big picture and Blueline’s role in the market
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple assignments concurrently
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • BA in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or relevant technical degree (Engineering, etc.)
  • 3-5 years of Marketing or Business Development experience within the A/E/C industry or similar technical background with interest/experience in Business Development
COMPUTER SKILLS
  • Working knowledge of InDesign and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment such as telephones, computers, fax, and copy machines
